HLS Letters

HLS on 308 Thilly, in a letter to his family:

". . . You can take all those palatial homes of Beverly Hills, with all their Filipino servants, Buicks, and snobs and burn them for all I care.  I like our house.  I like the fact that you can tell someone lives in it.  I like the kids roaring around and disrupting everything.  I like the hospitable air of it.  I like the uncultivated woods behind it.  I don’t want a new house.  If you move to another school, please get a place nearly like it."
