Dears:
Henry was a lovely, kind, generous, curious soul. I've always been so grateful that I married his brother, and got the bonus of knowing Hen! His humor lightened many a tense conversation--whether it was about politics, ecoomics, life choices or whatever.
His kindness extended a helping hand to family members, friends, and causes that gripped his heart.
His curiousity enlivened our conversation right to the end
in fact, the last conversation I had with him was about
algae/energy production!!
I'll miss him a lot, and I carry many fond and humor filled
images of him. One comes to mind: Dave and I were
visiting him and Carol. We went for a walk along their road:
Hen in his helmet, Dave with his two canes. Hen is
leaning forward, moving fast, in the lead, talking to Dave
about something or other. I am in the middle. Dave is
coming along a bit behind me. He can't hear Hen too well.
And Hen can't hear Dave either. I am relaying their words to
each of them as they continue the enthusiastic
conversation they began around the kitchen table!!
My loving thoughts are with you all as you come to terms
the loss of your dear sweetie. If I can be helpful, let me
know.
Please let me know if there will be a Memorial gathering!
